St Leonard’s Hospice in York is seeking two dedicated Wellbeing Coordinators to join our compassionate Wellbeing & Outreach Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in expanding our palliative care services across diverse community groups, ensuring that we truly understand and meet the unique needs of those we serve.
As a Wellbeing Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include building strong connections with organisations and community groups to elevate awareness and accessibility of our services. Your experience in face-to-face support will enable you to provide empathetic and reliable assistance to individuals and families. If you pride yourself on being approachable, trustworthy, and able to juggle multiple priorities, we want to hear from you! Do you want to join the St Leonard’s Hospice Team increasing the reach of our palliative care services across the local community?
We are recruiting two Wellbeing Coordinators to join the Hospice’s Wellbeing & Outreach Team to increase the reach of our palliative care services across all demographics of the local population, helping to ensure that our services meet the needs of the community.
The main duties of these roles will be to:
- Create and maintain strong relationships with external organisations, community groups to raise awareness
- Continue to improve St Leonard’s understanding of the community we serve and bring back the voice of the community
- Help break down barriers to accessing palliative care services
Our ideal candidates will:
- Have experience of providing face to face support to individuals or families in a care or support setting
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to be sensitive and empathetic
- Be approachable, honest and trustworthy
- Be able to deliver multiple priorities simultaneously and to a timeline
As this role will involve joining community groups, it is essential for you to have a driving licence and drive your own car.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week between office working hours, Monday to Friday, for a fixed period of 2 years.
